Inshore fishing in False Bay: yellowtail, snoek & reef fish
Inshore Fishing Charter
Six hours to properly fish the rich inshore grounds of False Bay. Sheltered water, dramatic scenery and plenty of time on the fish make this the trip for families, friends and experienced anglers who want more than a quick outing.
Cape Point is usually the first stop. From there the skipper works the reefs and drop-offs of the bay, reading the conditions and the birds to find feeding fish. Depending on the day we troll, spin and bottom fish, on light and heavy tackle.
Target species include Cape yellowtail, snoek, kob, red roman and other reef fish such as bream. Yellowtail and snoek move with the seasons and the water temperature, so the captain will tell you what's biting when you book.
Every inshore charter is private: the Stella Maria takes up to six guests, with a professional skipper and crew, quality Shimano, Penn and Daiwa tackle, fresh bait and full safety gear. Your catch is yours to keep, and we'll clean and fillet it on request, time permitting.
